What’s going on in Dorking this Summer?
The Denbies Wine Estate
The Denbies Wine Estate also has lots going on this summer. Awesome place to be in the countryside on a bright and sunny day..
A far cry from the usual guided tours and wine tasting experiences, visitors can also enjoy a host of exhibitions, music concerts and even theatre events in the vineyards scenic setting. Highlights include ‘One Run to Rule Them All: on the 16th July, Sat, 09:00 at Denbies Wine Estate, London Rd, Dorking. This is a multi-distance event – from 5km to 10k, half to marathon to ultra, you can complete as many, or as few, laps as you like of a 5.3km, 3.28 mile, or if an evening of classical music is more your thing then look no further than ‘Al Fresco Nights – Magic of the Musicals’ on 29th July.
Dorking Museums

The Dorking Museum runs a number of self guided walks around Dorking and the surrounding areas. The Dorking walks team can offer a variety of walks taking in the different aspects of the town’s history and heritage.

Dorking Town Family Walk Ticket – Sunday 17th July – 2.00pm
For starters, Dorking Museums are hosting a series of activities for children over the summer holidays, including ‘Museum Explorers’ on 15th August, where children can drop in to create their own mini museum complete with maps, labels and explanations. Other events include ‘Dinosaurs in the Den’ on 16th August and ‘Pompeii & Herculaneum: Daily Life in Ancient Rome’ on 22nd August.
Dorking hall, as usual, has events throughout this summer that you and your families can enjoy. just looking at what’s on this July! If you are visiting Dorking, there is always something for everyone, from Dorking Museum, antique shops, friendly restaurants and cafe’s, pubs, and more.
